Justin Theroux is not "jealous" over "rumors" Jennifer Aniston is dating her trainer, despite a claim. This is yet another instance of a gossip site making up an "exclusive" related to an untrue tabloid story. Gossip Cop can bust it.
On Wednesday, Star falsely claimed "sparks" are flying between Aniston and her boxing coach, Leyon Azubuike. Even though the article wasn't true, HollywoodLife quickly regurgitated the claims online. And then hours later, the site purported to know Theroux's reaction. "Is Justin Theroux Jealous Over Rumors That Jennifer Aniston's Dating Her Hot Personal Trainer?" the blog asks in a headline.
In the accompanying post, the website contends Theroux is "fully aware of the rumors" Aniston has "found love again," and "it's not exactly easy for him to take in." A so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "Justin's not ready to hear about Jennifer dating anyone else, he's not even close to over her so it's very hard to think of her moving on brings up a lot of jealousy [sic]." This untraceable tipster goes on to claim, "Jennifer and Justin still communicate all the time and she's assured him that she isn't dating her trainer."
Yet despite that, it's alleged Theroux "can't help but worry that she might just be saying that to protect him and spare his feelings." Asserts this seemingly fictional snitch, "If that's the case, and it turns out that Jennifer really is dating Leyon, it'll be very hard for Justin to take." It's not clear why Theroux wouldn't trust Aniston is telling him the truth, or why she'd be dishonest with him.
And as Gossip Cop reported earlier, Aniston and Azubuike are not dating, with her spokesperson telling Gossip Cop that such claims are a "fabrication." This follow-up tale is a fabrication, as well. In March, Us Weekly and E! Online both reported that Aniston and Theroux had "barely spoken" since their split, and there is no proof they're talking any more these days.
Furthermore, E! reported earlier this month on how "life has changed" for Theroux, noting, "Justin is living life exactly how he wants to be in New York and has moved on from his L.A. life with Jen. He's very happy with where he is." It makes little sense for HollywoodLife to allege just weeks later that he's upset about Aniston possibly dating someone else. But earlier this month, the site flip-flopped on whether Aniston and Theroux might be "back on."
Now after that flub, the blog still has the gall to pretend it has insight on the exes. What's also notable about this situation, in which the website is trying to capitalize on a tabloid article by making up a related story, is that HollywoodLife tried doing the same with these stars in May, but with the roles reversed. In that piece, it was alleged Aniston was "furious" over "dating rumors" involving Theroux and Selena Gomez. Now it's the opposite premise, with Theroux supposedly "jealous" over "rumors" about Aniston and her trainer.
Of course, if the website really had a Theroux "source," as it alleges here, it would've known that there were no truth to the tabloid claim about him and Gomez. That just makes it all the more apparent that the outlet isn't trustworthy when it purports to have inside knowledge about Theroux now. As in previous cases, HollywoodLife is clearly making it all up. A spokesperson for the actor even tells Gossip Cop on the record, "This story is a fabrication."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
