Justin Theroux is not "begging Jennifer Aniston for peace" amid the false rumors he's dating Angelina Jolie, despite a new report combining two stories that Gossip Cop already debunked. We can once again set the record straight. This entire situation is fabricated.
Last week, Gossip Cop busted Heat for falsely claiming that Theroux was asking Aniston for "forgiveness" because the actor felt he'd been exiled from Hollywood following their split. The magazine alleged that Theroux wasn't happy with the way his career was going and believed his estranged wife and her A-list friends were "giving him the cold shoulder." Not only did the actor's rep dismiss the story as nonsense, but the actor is getting plenty of work.
As Gossip Cop pointed out, Theroux is set to co-star with Olivia Munn in the drama Violet. Munn is very friendly with Aniston, so he's not being shunned by her famous friends. Additionally, the film is being directed by Justine Bateman, the sister of Aniston's close friend Jason Bateman. The actress's Hollywood circle obviously hasn't shut out her estranged husband.
Meanwhile, Theroux has co-starring roles in two major December releases, the Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic On the Basis of Sex and the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee. The actor will also voice the Tramp in Disney's upcoming remake of Lady and the Tramp. As we also noted, Theroux said in a New York Times profile last month that his separation from Aniston was "gentle" and there's "no animosity" between the two. He doesn't need to beg Aniston for peace because the two aren't at odds.
Also last week, Gossip Cop debunked a Life & Style cover story claiming that Theroux started dating Jolie after meeting up at a restaurant in New York City in August. Once again, the actor's spokesperson shot down the bogus rumors. As we pointed out, the two have never been spotted together and it doesn't appear that Jolie has even been to New York in the past several months. The actress was shooting a movie in London all summer and recently returned home to Los Angeles where she's working on another film.
Celebrity Insider, which has been known to rewrite bogus tabloid stories, has now published an article that merges the false claims by Heat and Life & Style. After regurgitating all the inaccuracies mentioned above, the blog says, "If Theroux wants to get his career back on track, it would be wise to steer clear of Jolie, at least until the situation cools down." Of course, Theroux's career isn't off track and he's not in a relationship with Jolie. The website simply saw an opportunity to connect two false tabloid stories to each other. Combining lies doesn't make them any more true.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
