Justin Theroux does not want to become the next James Bond, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can expose the truth. We’re told it’s “not true.”

“Playing Bond Would Be 0-0-Heaven For Theroux,” reads a headline from this week’s National Enquirer. The accompanying article claims the actor has “idolized James Bond ever since he saw The Spy Who Loved Me,” and would “sell his soul” to play the British spy. A supposed “source” tells the tabloid, “[Theroux is] a huge fan and has every single movie and soundtrack on his media player. He’s even got a Sean Connery-signed copy of Goldfinger.”

The publication further maintains Aniston has been “slyly hinting around Hollywood” that her husband would be the perfect choice for an upcoming 007 movie. However, even though the actress has “major pull in the film industry,” this is “one role she can’t use her fame to obtain,” notes the magazine. “There’s no doubt Justin has the looks and swagger to take on a role like Bond one day, but all hell would have to freeze over before the Bond bosses consider an American,” concludes the tipster.

Not surprisingly, the entire story is wrong. Remember, Gossip Cop corrected the supermarket tabloid in December when it published a similarly bogus report about Prince Harry wanting to play James Bond. That article was 100 percent made-up, and the same goes for this latest piece of fiction. A rep for Theroux assures Gossip Cop the report about him wanting to take on the role of Bond in the next movie is “not true.” Additionally, we’re also told that Aniston is not trying to pull any strings to get him the part. It’s simply fake news.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has called out the Enquirer for fabricating stories about Theroux. In April 2016, we busted the outlet for falsely alleging in a cover story that Theroux and Aniston were getting a divorce, claiming their marriage had been “destroyed” by a so-called “cheating scandal.” Much like that entirely inaccurate report, this latest claim about Theroux gunning for the Bond role is equally untrue.
