Justin Theroux is not already back on the dating scene following his split from Jennifer Aniston, despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. A rep for the actor tells us it's not true.
An alleged source, however, tells Life & Style that the actor was "outright flirting with actresses and other ladies" at the premiere of A Quiet Place on April 2. "Justin was playing the room like a pro. He's back on the prowl," adds the magazine's supposed "witness."
The outlet's questionable source goes on to assert that Theroux is loving the single life, adding, "Justin is definitely back in the game." The purported tipster further contends, "He was glowing at the premiere. He said he's been working out more than ever, doing cardio and yoga." The seemingly manufactured "eyewitness" at the premiere also somehow knows that the actor has a whole "new attitude" and is "in a really good place" in the wake of his separation.
Of course, the outlet is basing its entire story on claims from an anonymous, untraceable and possibly nonexistent source, but Theroux's spokesperson tells Gossip Cop on the record that it's all completely "false." In fact, "Entertainment Tonight" recently reported that Theroux is "still heartbroken" following his split from Aniston. The reputable outlet also noted that the actor isn't "one to play the field," but prefers to be in committed relationships. Life & Style's assertion that he was hitting on multiple women at the film premiere not only contradicts that, but simply wasn't the case.
Additionally, several other publications covered the premiere of A Quiet Place, but none of them mentioned anything about Theroux flirting with women at the event. For the most part, Theroux was photographed at an after-party chatting with male friends Stanley Tucci and John Krasinski, who directed and stars in the film. There are no pictures of Theroux chatting up random women at the gathering.
In the nearly two months since Aniston and Theroux announced their separation, the actor has wrongly been linked to a number of women, including an artist, a hair stylist, and three actresses. On Tuesday, for example, Gossip Cop debunked a story that falsely maintained Theroux and Selena Gomez were exchanging "flirty" texts. His rep, however, told us it was wholly untrue.
Before that misfire, it was speculated that Theroux and Aubrey Plaza were an item after being spotted in New York together, but it was a strictly professional get-together. A source told People, "They met to discuss a potential film project." The inaccurate speculation came right on the heels of a report from Life & Style's sister publication In Touch thatt linked Theroux romantically to Olivia Munn. But Munn revealed on Instagram that she denied the claim to the tabloid in advance, yet it still ran its inaccurate article anyway. She wrote on the social media site, "It's 100 million percent not true, I thought I'd just let you guys know on my own."
Unfortunately, this wouldn't be the first time the unreliable Life & Style has pegged the actor as a major flirt. Gossip Cop recently busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Theroux and Aniston had split over her jealousy of his "flirty relationships with other women." There was no truth to that claim, as no third party played a role in the exes' breakup.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
