Justin Bieber is not on "suicide watch," despite a completely false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. It's simply not true.
It was reported earlier this month that the singer has been receiving treatment for depression. The news inspired Star to make up a phony story about Bieber being suicidal. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Justin is on a knife's edge at the moment. He's getting help, but it doesn't seem to be working. He's stopped eating, sleeps all the time and wants to be by himself. He seems to have lost the will to live."
The supposed source further contends that Bieber's depression is taking a major toll on his health, claiming his weight has dropped to 130 pounds and his skin is breaking out "more than he ever did as a teenager." The questionable tipster goes on to say that the pop star's wife, Hailey Baldwin, has been trying to help him "beat his demons," but his constant "mood swings and fits of tears" are getting in the way.
The magazine's sensationalized report is completely wrong. Star is simply capitalizing on the news that Bieber is seeking help for mental health issues. The idea that he's suicidal, however, is entirely untrue. A source close to Bieber, who wasn't able to speak on the record, assures us no one in his inner circle is worried about him harming himself. We're told the singer isn't at all suicidal and the claim otherwise is "completely false."
Additionally, Bieber was spotted in New York City on Tuesday taking a stroll with his pastor, Carl Lentz. The singer had a smile on his face during the outing. Later that day, Bieber and his wife went to a spa together. The idea that the musician only "wants to be by himself" and has "lost the will to live" is baseless.
It's also worth noting, the gossip media has proven to have little insight into the singer's personal life. Earlier this month, Gossip Cop called out Star's sister publication, OK!, for falsely claiming Bieber and Baldwin were getting a divorce because he's still in love with Selena Gomez. This latest article makes no mention of that bogus scenario.
Back in September, Gossip Cop busted Star's other sister outlet, In Touch, for wrongly reporting that Baldwin was pregnant with Bieber's baby. That clearly wasn't the case, but at least that article was about bringing life into the world as opposed to taking it. In addition to being untrue, this latest article is also unnecessarily morbid.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
