Justin Bieber Did NOT Diss Prince On Instagram, Despite Claim

Justin Bieber Prince

Justin Bieber did not diss Prince in a tribute to the late singer, despite a seemingly manufactured report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this apparent hoax. We’re told it was entirely “fabricated.”

According to the Twitter account Shady Music Facts, in a tribute to Prince that musician and producer Andrew Wyatt composed on his Instagram page, Bieber not only slammed Prince but also tried to pump up himself. Wyatt wrote on Instagram, “Today waking up to this news I am truly beside myself…devastated…the last of the greatest living performers…my guitar idol.” Shady Music Facts alleges that Bieber commented on Wyatt’s post, “Well not the last greatest living performer.”

The specious allegation that Bieber wrote the remark set off a firestorm on Wyatt’s Instagram page, but Gossip Cop scoured everywhere and nowhere can it legitimately be found that The Biebs actually made that comment. Additionally, Bieber’s rep exclusively confirms to Gossip Cop that the so-called screenshot of the comment (below) is “fabricated.”

Interestingly, Shady Music Facts is the same Twitter account that Gossip Cop busted when it seemingly had a doctored screenshot of Bieber liking a video Donald Trump posted on Instagram ahead of the Wisconsin primary. The account further alleged in a subsequent tweet two weeks ago that “Justin also follows Donald Trump on Twitter.” But neither of those claims were true, and Gossip Cop was assured both those screenshots were “fake.”

Curiously, no other outlet or legitimate social media account captured what Shady Music Facts claimed about Bieber dissing Prince in Andrew Wyatt’s tribute. Gossip Cop suspects people should place more emphasis on the “Shady” part of the Twitter account’s name and much less on the “Music Facts.”
