Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are on the verge of a split, claims one of this week's celebrity magazines. It's alleged the model wants a divorce because she can no longer deal with Bieber's depression. Gossip Cop, however, can correct this report.
According to In Touch, after six months of marriage, Baldwin has had enough. To make it seem like the outlet has some sort of inside information, it has an unnamed and untraceable "source" quoted as saying, "Hailey is absolutely miserable. Her entire life has become consumed by Justin." The supposed insider adds how Baldwin had "no idea it would be this dramatic."
The often disproven tabloid then points to Bieber's Instagram post on March 10 in which he acknowledged he's been "struggling" and "feeling super disconnected and weird," before asking fans to "pray" for him. The magazine concludes its thin-on-facts article by quoting its anonymous and unaccountable "source" contending how Bieber "requires all of [his wife's] attention." "It's not what she signed up for," claims the purported tipster.
However, what's not included in the tabloid's story appears to be more important than what it did publish. Significantly, the outlet didn't mention how in his Instagram post Bieber also assured everyone he's fine. While he specifically noted, "I always bounce back so I'm not worried," it appears the publication purposely omitted that upbeat remark. It also neglected how his wife has supported him. Two weeks ago on his birthday, alongside a heart emoji, Baldwin posted a photo of Instagram of her and Baldwin, with a caption that reads, "25 sure looks good on u lover."
In Touch and a handful of other magazines owned by the same company have been trying to push this false narrative for a while. In November, for example, Gossip Cop busted its sister publication, Life & Style, when it untruthfully insisted Bieber and Baldwin were "headed back before a judge, this time to get a divorce." Four months have passed, and it obviously hasn't happened.
Just a month ago, another one of its related outlets, OK!, ran a cover story that wrongly maintained Bieber and Baldwin were getting a divorce because of Selena Gomez. In that tall tale, as opposed to the new premise about Bieber being depressed, it was asserted he and Baldwin were splitting up because he allegedly "secretly met" with Gomez, and told her he'll "always love her." And unlike the tabloid's article, which was all based on unidentifiable sources, Bieber's rep told Gossip Cop on the record that talk of him and Baldwin getting divorced is "complete nonsense."
In Touch, however, has a history of publishing nonsense about the singer. Curiously, in its latest article the magazine doesn't admit how in September it claimed Baldwin was "pregnant already" with Bieber's baby. Much like that report, the new one about Baldwin and Bieber being close to splitting up because of his depression is also untrue.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
