Are Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin really doing a reality show together? The claim, which is in the pages of one of this week's tabloids, was picked up by the magazine's sister site and a few other outlets that didn't bother to fact-check the report. Gossip Cop, however, looked into the story and can exclusively debunk it with proof.
According to the National Enquirer and its copycat sister blog, RadarOnline, Bieber is "eager" to do a reality series with his wife, and the supposed series is already in development. To back up its fabricated tale, the often discredited outlets quote a so-called "source" as saying Baldwin and Bieber are in the "early stages" of putting together the reality show about their "new life" as husband and wife. The unnamed and seemingly manufactured "source" further asserts the program will be much like the old MTV show "Newlyweds," which starred former spouses Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.
It's maintained that Bieber is really pushing for the series because he wants his fans to learn and know more about Baldwin "through the process." Almost bizarrely, MTV's website regurgitated the story without investigating the claims or even seriously questioning whether it was true. Unlike those outlets, Gossip Cop fully looks into each and every article and transparently reveals where our information comes from.
As we've noted before, it's very easy for places to come up with phony narratives and pin them to untraceable and unaccountable "sources." What's remarkable is that they ask readers to blindly believe their stories, which offer no evidence whatsover. Conversely, Gossip Cop approached Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, about the reports alleging the singer and his model wife are looking to do a reality show, and we were exclusively told on the record it's 100 percent "false."
It bears pointing out how neither the Enquirer nor RadarOnline has been that accurate of recent with their articles about the singer. Just a few weeks ago, for example, Gossip Cop busted the blog when it wrongly contended that Bieber tried to run into Selena Gomez while hiking. As noted at the time, Bieber has a long history of walking along Runyon Canyon's trails in Los Angeles and it has nothing to do with his ex-girlfriend.
Additionally, the supermarket tabloid has published a slew of falsehoods about Bieber, including an insane report years ago about how he was going to sell his sweat as perfume. And just this past September, the same magazine alleged Bieber and Baldwin's relationship was in trouble. Five months later, however, they remain married and even exhibited their love for one another on the cover of the upcoming March issue of Vogue. To reiterate, the reality is that magazine and blog are just selling a series of lies about Bieber.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
