Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin aren’t expecting a baby, but for more than a year now, various tabloids have claimed the two were having a child. Although the happy spouses might have a kid at some point in the future, that’s currently not the case. Here are a few wrong rumors on the subject that we’ve debunked.
As recently as April, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Bieber had “walked out” on Baldwin amid her being pregnant. The magazine alleged that the model was three months along with a child, but she was headed for a divorce with her husband following a string of nonstop fights. One issue, according to the outlet, was that the singer didn’t think his wife spent enough time “by his side and taking care of him,” prompting her to “snap back” and him to “storm out.”
Just days before the bogus story was published, Bieber and Baldwin were photographed cuddling up at a Toronto Maple Leafs game. The two had also posted many loving Instagram messages for each other, and continue to do so. As time has proven, the couple hasn’t split and there’s no child on the way.
Just days after the couple got married last September, Gossip Cop called out In Touch for falsely claiming Baldwin was “pregnant already.” The story was concocting after the singer and the model were spotted visiting a Beverly Hills medical office. In reality, the spouses were there because Bieber had an eye doctor appointment. Not only did a source in the singer’s camp flatly deny the story, but around the same time, the couple was spotted by a fan enjoying a bottle of wine in Italy. Tha same fan shared an Instagram photo of Baldwin drinking a glass. She clearly wasn’t pregnant.
And last June, NW published a story about Bieber and Baldwin planning to have a baby. The only “source” for this report was a quote that the singer himself had given nearly eight years before, and which was taken out of context. The tabloid quoted Bieber as saying, “By 25 or 26 I see myself married or starting a family.” Here’s what he actually said in the 2011 interview: “Well, by 25 or 26, I want to see myself, like, married or start looking for a family.”
The tabloid tried to make it seem as if Bieber had made a declarative statement about having a child with Baldwin, when it was actually a hypothetical statement he made eight years prior. Although the singer went on to get married as he had envisioned, the baby part hasn’t come into play just yet.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
