Justin Bieber has canceled the remaining dates on his “Purpose World Tour.” The superstar has 15 stadium concerts left in the U.S. and Asia, but is abruptly pulling the plug and ending the shows early.

In a statement furnished to Gossip Cop, a rep says, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the ‘Purpose World Tour’ concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the ‘Purpose World Tour’ over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run. However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

As Gossip Cop has reported, Bieber originally launched the “Purpose World Tour” in Seattle in March 2016. Over the year, he traveled around the globe. Following that initial North American leg, he did stints in Asia and Europe through that November. The following month, he stopped by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to announce he’d be hitting the road again in 2017 not only for the remaining legs of the world tour, but also for his first-ever stadium tour.

Bieber got back out there in February as part of his originally-scheduled dates, going to Australia, Latin America, Asia, South Africa and Europe. That run of shows took him through early July. After several weeks off, the stadium portion was slated to begin in Texas on July 29. Now it is officially canceled, and so are all the other shows that were scheduled to follow in the U.S. and Asia through October.

The unexpected news comes only days after it was announced Bieber was to be joined on the U.S. dates by Migos, Martin Garrix, Vic Mensa and Kehlani. The affected cities are Arlington, Pasadena, Denver, Minneapolis, East Rutherford, Foxborough and Toronto, in addition to Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as Santa Maria in the Philippines and Jakarta in Indonesia. Bieber himself has not personally commented.
