Julia Roberts is not losing weight because of marriage problems, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct a tabloid that claims "her marriage is damaging her health." The truth is her frame is not "shrinking," as maintained by a magazine, nor is her union with husband Danny Moder in jeopardy.
According to OK! Australia, "Pals [of Roberts] think her weight loss is a direct result of her and Danny's marriage reaching [a] crisis point." A so-called "expert" says she looks like she weighs about 101 pounds, which is "very skinny" for a woman of her height. The same source offers, "She's not taking care of herself."
After generically noting how "sometimes two people fall out of love," the magazine quotes an alleged "insider" as saying, "Julia likes to promote the image of the happy family, but the truth is far from it." "Friends think they could divorce soon," adds the source. Naturally, the publication doesn't mention who those supposed "friends" are who seem to be convinced that Roberts and Moder will split.
And while the tabloid uses hearsay from unnamed and untraceable third parties as proof for its flimsy report, when it comes to Roberts' own remarks about her marriage, the outlet dismisses her comments as no longer valid. But the reality is Roberts told Harper's Bazaar UK in a cover interview for its November 2017 issue that she attributes her happiness to "finding my person," namely Moder. "When I think about what makes my life my life, and makes sense and just shine inside of me, it's him," the actress continued.
What's more, to illustrate its article, OK! features photos of Roberts carrying two large cardboard boxes, which it uses as proof that the Oscar-winner and Moder are "already estranged" and that she's "already moved out" of their home. In actuality, those pictures were taken a month ago when Robert was doing errands in Malibu after hitting the gym. And far from losing weight and "shrinking," the Daily Mail, for example, used those photos to make a point about Roberts' "impressive gym-honed figure" and "toned arms."
More significantly, just one week ago, Roberts posted a photo on Instagram of her and Moder hugging on the beach. She wrote in a caption alongside it, "Oh Summer, thank you! You made us happy and brave. We embraced every moment of sun drenched JOY #familytime." It appears her marriage is perfectly healthy, and that the magazine is once again thin on facts.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
