A tabloid claims Julia Roberts is expecting her fourth child and celebrated the supposed pregnancy by going to Hawaii with husband Danny Moder. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. The actress simply isn't pregnant.
The spouses recently enjoyed a vacation in Hawaii, but according to OK!, it was no ordinary getaway. "It seemed like they were celebrating something, and maybe hiding a happy secret," a so-called "onlooker" tells the magazine. Another alleged source says, "The word is that Julia's around three months pregnant with her fourth child," adding that the 51-year-old actress didn't think she'd be able to have another child, but she's "telling friends it's a miracle."
From there, the questionable source says the couple's marriage "had been on shaky ground" prior to the supposed baby news. "They were at each other's throats," contends the suspicious tipster. "There are whispers that it got so bad, the word divorce was thrown around." The seemingly phony insider goes on to say that Roberts and Moder managed to "repair their marriage" when they found out they were "expecting."
There's simply no truth to the tabloid's report. For starters, Gossip Cop busted OK! 10 months ago in July 2018 for falsely claiming Roberts was pregnant with a "miracle baby at 50." We debunked the bogus report as soon as it emerged, and time has proven the actress was never expecting. Naturally, the magazine's latest article fails to explain what happened to the baby that Roberts was said to be having last summer.
It's also worth noting, during a 2013 interview on the "Late Show with David Letterman," Roberts said there was "no" chance she's having another child. The notion that the actress was having marriage problems isn't accurate either. In fact, Roberts has gushed about her husband and their relationship in several recent interviews.
On Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop podcast last November, Roberts said that marrying Moder changed her life "in the most incredible, indescribable way." Prior to that, Roberts said in a Harper's Bazaar cover story that false tabloid stories about her marriage "still hurt my feelings." She added, "Because I'm so proud of my marriage... there's so much happiness wrapped up in what we've found together."
The only remotely true aspect of OK!'s article is that Roberts and Moder recently went on a vacation to Hawaii. Their romantic getaway wasn't in celebration of a nonexistent pregnancy, nor were they headed for a split prior to the trip. The outlet's story is flat-out fictional.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
