Julia Roberts and Danny Moder's "differing lifestyles" are causing their marriage to "crumble," alleges a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. There's no truth to it.
According to Star, the spouses of nearly 17 years have been drifting apart as a result of their "clashing personalities." A supposed source tells the magazine, "It seems like they're spending less and less time together, which is clearly taking a toll. And when they're under the same roof, they're constantly butting heads. It's beyond tense."
The main issue, says the alleged insider, is that Roberts "is strong-willed and hyper-controlling, and Danny, who's very laid-back, has spent years patiently falling in line," but lately "he's been standing up for himself, and that's led to some pretty unpleasant scenes." The questionable tipster goes on to say that the actress is "bullish and overbearing about everything," but now "she's feeling like she's no longer in control."
The seemingly phony further contends that Moder has been spending an increasing amount of time surfing with his friends, and "isn't backing down" when his wife asks him to "scale it back." The suspicious insider adds, "He's walking away in the middle of their fights. There's so much resentment and bitterness on both sides, and the rift between them seems wider than ever. It's so sad."
None of this is remotely accurate. Just last month, Moder posted a rare Instagram photo with his wife and their three kids, adding the caption, "That pretty mama in the middle. We love you so much." Additionally, the actress has opened up in several recent interviews about her strong marriage, and even shot down divorce rumors.
In addition to praising her husband on Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop podcast, Roberts said in a Harper's Bazaar cover story that false tabloid stories about her marriage "still hurt my feelings." She added, "Because I'm so proud of my marriage... there's so much happiness wrapped up in what we've found together."
Last December, Gossip Cop busted Star for falsely claiming Roberts and Moder were getting a divorce but would wait until Christmas to file the papers. It's nearly six months later and the happy spouses are still together. In November 2017, we called out the publication for alleging Roberts was "moving on" from her husband and had kicked him out of their house. That never happened either. The untrustworthy outlet simply has zero insight into the actress's marriage.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
