JT and Robert scored big with a Broadway routine on Monday’s “So You Think You Can Dance.” Watch below!

As Gossip Cop has reported, season 13 of “SYTYCD” is all about the “next generation.” JT Church is an aspiring jazz dancer paired with Robert Roldan, an alum of the the FOX competition. And over the course of their partnership so far, their emotional connection has blown away the judges.

That was the case once again now, even with the show coming back from an Olympics-fueled two-week hiatus. Their moving Broadway routine was all about the dynamic between older star and younger future star, and symbolically passing the torch. The performance was set to Robbie Williams’ “Mr. Bojangles,” and earned a standing ovation from the panel.

“I’m just convinced that you’ve been here before,” Jason Derulo told JT afterward, in awe of his talent. He went on to say, “It was phenomenal. I think you are the most consistent pair on the show, point-blank.”

Nigel Lythgoe confessed, “This will live on in my memory long after the show is over. I thought it was the most beautiful, ingenious routine.” He further said, “If this was a ‘vote for a couple,’ everyone else in this competition could go home. Because you two are the best couple.” But since it’s about voting for the young contestants, Lythgoe told JT, “You put up an incredible performance right then that’s going to put you right to the top.”

Paula Abdul praised, “To say that this routine is and was precious and magical is the obvious… You guys are a gift to each other.” She also said, “Everything that everyone is saying, times a million, that’s how I feel.”

“I agree 100 percent,” said Maddie Ziegler, “and this dance was the perfect story for you two. I think you look up so much to Robert, I can just see it, and you two are a match made in heaven.” Check out the full video below!
