Johnny Gates and Sammie Zonana sang “I Drove All Night” during Tuesday’s “The Voice” Battles. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Gates auditioned with Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May.” Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys and Gwen Stefani all turned around, and the country superstar actually mocked Adam Levine for not hitting his button, too. In the end, Gates chose Stefani to be his coach.

The No Doubt front woman now paired Gates with Zonana for the NBC music competition’s second phase, the Battles. And, interestingly, they had to sing a track by their own guest adviser, Celine Dion. Although not the original artist, Dion’s version was a fairly big success when it was released in 2003.

In rehearsal, Gates said it was “nerve-wracking” to sing in front of Dion, while Zonana was blown away when she actually started singing with them. Dion loved their “original” interpretation, and even staged a dramatic exit to indicate how impressed she was. When it really mattered, on stage, the duo impressed again.

Following a standing ovation from Stefani, Adam Levine called her contestants “bad asses,” and struggled to give one the edge. Blake Shelton felt torn as well, but Alicia Keys thought Simmons deserved the win. And Stefani gave it to him! Watch below!
