Johnny Depp’s friends aren’t concerned he’s suffering from cancer or another life-threatening illness, despite a made-up webloid report involving the actor’s recent weight loss. Gossip Cop can set the record straight.

“Skin & Bones Johnny Wasting Away: He’s Suddenly Lost 35 Lbs.” reads a new RadarOnline headline. The accompanying article goes on to purport the actor is drastically losing weight in the wake of his divorce from Amber Heard, quoting a supposed “insider” as saying, “Johnny looks like walking death.” The site’s dubious source goes on to allege Depp is falling apart physically, and his friends are “very worried that he could be succumbing to liver disease after years of abusing his body with booze and drugs… There are also concerns about cancer.”

The webloid’s seemingly phony insider adds, “Friends worry if he doesn’t stop drinking he’ll walk the plank,” which is seemingly a reference Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean role. Of course, no real friend of the actor would be cracking jokes if he was actually battling a serious disease.

Regardless, Gossip Cop still looked into the situation, and a reliable source close to Depp assures us he’s perfectly healthy. We’re told the actor is losing weight for an upcoming film role, and no one in his inner circle is concerned about him having “cancer” or any other illness.

This phony article is coming from the same website that Gossip Cop busted for wrongly reporting Depp and Heard got divorced over a baby. We also previously called out RadarOnline’s sister outlet, Star, for falsely claiming Depp was getting a “divorce makeover” involving plastic surgery. This latest article about the actor’s supposed health woes is equally unfounded.
