John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are not having "marriage trouble," despite a new tabloid report claiming the couple is working to save their relationship. Gossip Cop can correct that story. We've exclusively learned it's untrue.

According to this week's Life & Style, Legend and Teigen have "hit a crisis point," and it's taking a toll on their relationship. In the article, a so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "They have been in therapy together and are trying very hard to make their marriage work. Chrissy will do anything she can to save her marriage." The outlet's questionable "insider" further maintains she "loves John and he loves her, but they will need to do a lot more work on their marriage if it's going to last."

So, what's the problem? The magazine's supposed "source" contends that as a result of Teigen's postpartum depression and anxiety, she was "acting almost paranoid and accusing John of getting too close to other women." The tabloid's tipster goes on to assert, "They ended up fighting about it all the time at home. It was a terrible atmosphere in the home. John has been trying to be patient because he realizes it was a difficult time for her, but he was getting wiped out."

Gossip Cop looked into the report, and a source close to the couple tells us on background the story is 100 percent "not true." Legend and Teigen, who have been together for more than 10 years, are not having "marriage trouble." In fact, Teigen recently posted a photo on Instagram of herself and Legend at Clive Davis' pre-Grammys party and gushed in the accompanying caption, "Thank you to Johnny. I wouldn't be here without you. Or I would because I'd be dating or married to someone similar. But I am happy to be here with you. I love you."

And while Teigen admitted to struggling with anxiety and postpartum depression, it certainly hasn't threatened to tear apart her relationship with the singer. In an interview with Glamour, the model opened up about how Legend helped her through the tough experience. "John would sleep on the couch with me, sometimes four nights in a row." She added, "[He's] been incredible... bringing me my medicine and watching horrible reality TV with me." Clearly, the magazine's story is nothing more than a fabrication.

This isn't the first time Gossip Cop has busted an outlet for manufacturing an inaccurate article about Legend and Teigen's relationship. In September, for instance, we corrected Life & Style's sister publication, In Touch, for falsely alleging Legend and Teigen were on the verge of splitting. In response to that article, Teigen angrily wrote on Instragam, "Oh in touch go [expletive] yourselves, you exclusively dumb pieces of trash." Much like that untrue tale, this latest one about the couple having "marriage trouble" is equally meritless.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
