Jimmy Kimmel gave an update Friday on the health condition of his baby son Billy, who underwent heart surgery when he was born in April. The late night host shared a photo of his happy and healthy baby boy on Twitter, and revealed he’s “doing great.”

As Gossip Cop reported, Kimmel revealed during his talk show monologue in April that his son was born with a serious heart condition and had to undergo surgery shortly after being delivered. At just three days old, Kimmel’s baby underwent a successful open-heart surgery at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. On Friday, the host tweeted a picture of his baby with a big smile on his face, along with the caption, “Billy is 3 months old & doing great. Thx for the love & support. Please remind your Congresspeople that every kid deserves the care he got.”

During his tearful monologue back in April, Kimmel had urged politicians to ensure that all Americans, especially children, have access to affordable healthcare. He further expressed disgust that some in Washington were considering cutting people’s benefits, and encouraged viewers to donate to CHLA since many of the young patients treated there come from low-income families.

As Gossip Cop also noted, the co-hosts of “The View” engaged in a healthcare debate following Kimmel’s revelation about his baby’s surgery. Whoopi Goldberg echoed the talk show host’s sentiment, encouraging donations to CHLA and St. Jude’s Hospital, adding, “It should not be about whether you can afford to save your kid’s life. It should be that you’re entitled to save your kid’s life.” See below the photo Kimmel shared of his healthy baby boy.
