Jessie J has not been “stalking” Channing Tatum in an effort to win him back, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct the story. There’s no validity to it.

According to NW, the singer has been “blowing up” her ex-boyfriend’s phone, as well as frequenting his local spots “in a desperate bid to reconnect.” A supposed insider is quoted as saying, “Jessie’s saying that she regrets the split and wants them to try again – but she’s a total gaslighter if you ask me. Word is she’s bombarding Channing with texts and has been hanging around in LA, hoping he’ll agree to meet with her so she can plead her case.”

E! News recently reported that Tatum has joined the celebrity dating app Raya. This prompted NW to say the reason he’s using the dating app is because “Jessie’s actions kind of freaked him out,” so he’s trying to send a clear message that it’s over. “Hearing he was doing something so desperate as online dating has tipped Jessie over the edge,” adds the supposed insider.

From there, the outlet notes that Jessie J recently shared an Instagram post in which she opened up about time and healing. However, the magazine completely misconstrues her words by alleging she talked about “feeling worthless” and “being hurt” as a result of her breakup. The post had nothing to do with her split from Tatum, and she never used those terms to describe herself. In fact, Jessie J herself shut down those rumors after an online outlet said the post was about her “heartbreak” over her breakup.

Jessie J explained that the post was about her “best friend she lost this time last year,” adding, “Lying isn’t journalism. They taught you that right?” The singer’s Instagram post, which was written for people going through a tough time, was in reference to her longtime bodyguard, Dave, who committed suicide in December 2018. It had nothing to do with Tatum.

Still, the unreliable tabloid maintains that Jessie J’s friends are fearing for her mental state, and her family is begging her to return to the UK. “She needs to regroup, rebuild,” says the suspicious tipster. “She’s losing her mind over in LA. Channing really messed her up and her family want her back as soon as possible.” This entire section of the story is predicated on the false notion that Jessie J’s Instagram post was about Tatum. In reality, she was sending a message of hope to those going through a tough time. She ended the post by providing the number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The singer wrote the post because she’s grieving the loss of her friend, not because she’s grieving a breakup.

Here’s what the tabloid also fails to mention: Tatum liked Jessie J’s Instagram post and commented on it with a series of heart emojis. It’s clear the actor is on good terms with his ex, and not “freaked out” by her. It’s also clear that Tatum knew the post was about the death of her friend, and not about him. The exes remain on good terms following their split. Despite the tabloid’s report being baseless, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the singer, who confirms it’s entirely made up.

Back in December 2018, Gossip Cop busted NW for falsely claiming Jessie J was dumping Tatum for Ruby Rose. The couple didn’t split until a full year later, and the singer hasn’t struck up a romance with Rose. The magazine has never had any insight into Tatum and Jessie J’s relationship.
