Jessica Simpson did NOT sneak her own water bottles into a fancy restaurant, despite a ludicrous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it “never happened.”

According to the National Enquirer, Simpson was having lunch at an upscale West Hollywood eatery that only carries expensive bottles of water, and so she supposedly smuggled in her own stash. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “A manager quickly approached and jabbed Jess, saying… ‘You know, we do sell water!'” The magazine’s seemingly phony source claims Simpson responded, “How much is a bottle here – $15?” but eventually gave in and purchased water from the restaurant.

Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Simpson, who laughed off the tabloid’s ridiculous claim before assuring us the supposed situation “never happened.” Of course, we’re not surprised by the magazine’s tall tale. Gossip Cop has repeatedly busted the Enquirer for its many bogus stories about Simpson.

We recently called out the tabloid for falsely alleging the singer was demanding her husband Eric Johnson lose weight. And shortly before that, Gossip Cop debunked the magazine’s erroneous claim that Simpson was reuniting with ex-husband Nick Lachey. Much like those fabricated reports, this latest story is complete nonsense.
