One of this week's tabloids claims Jessica Simpson has been miserable during her third pregnancy. The story is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
According to Life & Style, the third time is not the charm for the mother of two, who's supposedly having a very rough time during her latest go-around as an expectant mother. An alleged insider tells the magazine that the singer "is finding it more difficult to cope with this pregnancy than her previous two. She feels like a tent! And running around after [kids] Maxwell and Ace leaves her exhausted."
The supposed source goes on to say that Simpson's husband Eric Johnson "is doing everything he can to help, giving her foot massages and making sure she's always got her favorite craving: Nutella and cinnamon buns," but she's still feeling down. "Everyone's so excited to meet their little girl — but perhaps no one more so than Jess," adds the questionable tipster.
The tabloid's report is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable "insider," but Gossip Cop checked in with Simpson's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it's "not true at all." Despite what the magazine's seemingly imaginary "source" says about the singer's state of mind, a rep qualified to speak on her behalf assures us she's doing great.
In fact, Simpson opened up about her pregnancy in a recent interview with People magazine, saying, "I feel really good and we are all so excited." As for Life & Style's claim that caring for two young kids while pregnant is making her experience harder, the singer expressed the exact opposite. "This time around I am also focused on Maxwell and Ace, who have their own very active calendars and social lives at this point — so it's going by extremely fast!" Simpson told the outlet.
The singer went on to say that she's even enjoying the "vivid pregnancy dreams" she's been experiencing. "I fly to get from place to place in my dreams this time around," she said. "It's pretty weird but also fun. I keep a dream book next to my bed to try to get to the psychology of these vivid pregnancy dreams!" Simply put, Simpson is coping with pregnancy just fine.
Unfortunately, we're not surprised by the publication's bogus article. Gossip Cop busted the magazine in October for wrongly reporting that Simpson was pregnant with twins. That's not the case, and this latest article makes no mention of the singer having two babies on board.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
