Jessica Simpson is not pregnant. She said she's not pregnant, and even explained why she won't be getting pregnant. But RadarOnline is continuing to fuel untrue rumors to the contrary.
It was actually the webloid that was the first to wrongly claim Simpson was pregnant last month. At the time, the site claimed she was showing off a "tell-tale bump." Gossip Cop, however, exclusively learned the singer was not expecting.
Days later, she confirmed our accurate reporting. When Simpson appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," she confirmed point-blank that she wasn't with child. "I have two beautiful children, but I'm not having a third. We got an IUD. Nothing's gonna get in that uterus," the fashion designer candidly and amusingly admitted.
Yet a few days after that, RadarOnline's sister outlet OK! also wrongly alleged Simpson was pregnant with her third child. And their fellow sister publication, the National Enquirer, put its own twist on the lie by falsely claiming Simpson got "pregnant to save [her] marriage." Again: Simpson was not and is not expecting.
Now here we are nearly month after that first erroneous story, and RadarOnline is blaring, "BABY BUMP? Jessica Simpson Fuels Pregnancy Rumors In Shocking New Photos." It says in the accompanying article, "On the heels of reports that Jessica Simpson is pregnant with her third child, RadarOnline.com has obtained photographs of the songstress sporting what appears to be a baby bump. And despite the mother-of-two recently denying being with child, these new images only add more fuel to the speculation."
No, it is the webloid itself that is adding "fuel to the speculation." The site started the speculation, and now the site is continuing that speculation, asserting Simpson is "looking quite curvy again." Noting the "roomy midsection" of the dress she's wearing in the paparazzi pictures, the outlet essentially accuses Simpson of being dishonest with her denial just because of her physical appearance. And, as in the previous reporters, a doctor who has never even met "The Jessica Simpson Collection Founder" contends she "certainly looks at least three months along."
Yet we all know "looks" can be deceiving, and "looks" alone are typically not the standard for a medical professional making a diagnosis of pregnancy. Over the years, the gossip media has used paparazzi pictures of Jennifer Aniston, Gwen Stefani and more to make inaccurate pregnancy claims. That's what's going on here, but it's especially galling that the webloid is still doing that with Simpson despite all the previous confirmation that she's NOT expecting.
And this comes nearly a year after RadarOnline did the same thing with Aniston, ignoring the denials in favor of continuing to wrongly insist she was pregnant. Time proved the site didn't know what it was talking about, and time will again prove that now with Simpson. She is not fueling rumors, but simply living her life. All the fueling is coming from RadarOnline and its ilk.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
