A new report claiming Jessica Simpson and husband Eric Johnson are “leaving Hollywood” and moving their family to San Francisco is entirely wrong. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story.

According to OK!, the singer and former NFL player want to raise their young kids in San Francisco part-time, and so they’ve been house-hunting in the city. “They love the West Coast, but L.A. gets a little too intense and old hat after a while so they’re ready to purchase a second home for the family,” a supposed “source” tells the magazine.

The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “San Fran’s one of their favorite places on earth, and they figure it’s a perfect place to take their kids for summer vacations as well as weekends when they all fancy a change of pace.” The seemingly phony source goes on to say “money’s not really an object” because Simpson is “so loaded right now it’s ridiculous,” so they’re looking for a “nice spacious place in the $15 or $20 million range, with a garden and a pool.”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual pal of ours and the singer, who laughed off the tabloid’s story before exclusively assuring us she isn’t relocating her family to San Francisco. The magazine either made up this report or has very unreliable sources, but Simpson and her husband simply aren’t moving out of Los Angeles.

Unfortunately, OK! consistently targets the singer with fake news, so this latest fabrication comes as no surprise. Gossip Cop recently busted the publication after it wrongly reported Simpson was pregnant with her third child. We also debunked the tabloid’s false story about Simpson and Johnson starring on a reality show about their family. This latest article is equally bogus.
