Jesse Larson Voice Finale Video

Jesse Larson made history when he competed in Monday’s finale of “The Voice.” Watch the videos below!

When Larson auditioned for season 12 of the NBC competition, only Adam Levine turned around. That meant he was automatically placed on the Maroon 5 front man’s team. Now Larson has the honor of being the only one-chair turn in the history of the show to make it to the finale. He’s become the dark horse of the season, and won the Instant Save on last week’s semifinals results show to earn the right to compete in tonight’s finals.

For his first of three turns on the stage, Larson covered The Doobie Brothers’ “Takin’ It To The Streets.” Alicia Keys called the performance “dope” and “fresh.” “Your voice has never sounded better,” she praised, going on to commend his creative partnership with Levine. The coach himself said, “She’s right. You’ve never sounded better. So really good timing for that!”

Larson next joined Levine to duet on Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy,” which coincidentally was the second Prince duet of the night. There was a killer guitar solo, and Keys gave a standing ovation, along with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. For his last time in the spotlight, Larson performed a new original song titled “Woman.” The track was co-written by Chris Stapleton, who will be performing on part two of the finale on Tuesday.

Following Larson’s performance of his would-be winner’s single, Levine said, “This show is called ‘The Voice.’ And I want to get back to that thing, that spectacular intangible thing that made someone ‘The Voice.'” He went on, “I think this guy embodies what ‘The Voice’ should be about.” Check out the videos below, and come back soon for the rest!
