Are Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez really planning to get married in Miami on New Year’s Eve? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, which insists the singer “has locked down hubby No. 4.” Gossip Cop, however, has exclusively learned the truth.

A so-called “source” tells OK!, “Alex hasn’t popped the question yet, but they have talked marriage quite seriously.” The outlet’s questionable insider goes on to say Miami is “a city they both love,” which is why they chose it as the location for their supposed New Year’s nuptials. The seemingly made-up source further contends that both the singer and former MLB player want their respective children involved in the ceremony, adding, “They love their blended family!”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assure there’s no wedding in the works between the couple of less than a year. In fact, the two aren’t even engaged. The couple’s relationship is going strong and appears to be getting increasingly more serious, but we’re told they simply aren’t walking down the aisle in Miami at the end of the year. It should be noted, this isn’t the first time OK! has wrongly reported the couple was tying the knot, so we’re not surprised by this latest bogus article.

Last month, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid for making up a story about Lopez and Rodriguez planning a “lavish” three-day wedding in the Hamptons. Naturally, the magazine’s latest article fails to explain what happened to those alleged plans. Shortly before that fabrication, we corrected the outlet for falsely claiming Lopez was “in denial” about Rodriguez cheating on her. Whether the story is positive or negative, OK! still manages to maintain a poor track record when it comes to accurately reporting about the couple.
