Jennifer Lopez did not snub Vanessa Hudgens on the set of their movie Second Act, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. Multiple sources assure us it's not true.
According to OK!, while Lopez sings "love don't cost a thing," the actress was "awfully stingy with it" on their film set. A so-called "insider" is quoted as telling the magazine that Hudgens was "always fan-girling over Jen... gushing about how much she admires her and asking for career advice. But Jen was a total snob to her." The publication further maintains that Lopez and her friend Leah Remini, who also stars in the movie, "would roll their eyes at Vanessa."
The tabloid notes that Hudgens "kept asking Jen to dinner but got the brush-off." "It seemed like Jen felt threatened by her," asserts the supposed "insider," who adds, "Jen was cold the whole time." Clearly then, Lopez wouldn't want Hudgens around her after production ended two weeks ago, right?
However, the tabloid's entire story is a complete fabrication. Lopez was not a "snob" or "cold" to Hudgens. Nor did she ever "brush-off" the younger star. A source involved with the production assures Gossip Cop on background it's all "untrue." Meanwhile, Lopez's rep confirms the two women are "great friends."
Ironically, shortly after the tabloid published this tall tale about how Lopez blew off Hudgens' dinner requests, it was widely reported that the two celebrated together over tacos at Lopez's holiday party on Wednesday in Los Angeles. In fact, Hudgens was one of the select few who was invited to Lopez's bash at home that also included Alex Rodriguez, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Remini. But that's not all. Far from rolling eyes at Hudgens, Lopez cheered her on as she sang with Remini at the party, as videotaped by a guest (below).
Basically, other than correctly stating that Lopez, Hudgens and Remini are all in the same movie together, the rest of the magazine's contentions are wrong. Just a few weeks ago, Gossip Cop busted that same tabloid when it falsely claimed Rodriguez wanted Lopez to stop hanging out with Remini. Clearly, the outlet's Lopez sources are unreliable. Maybe their supposed "insider" should look for another profession for his or her second act.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
