Jennifer Lopez appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Friday, and confessed that she isn’t sure about her relationship status, saying that she’s “kind of” single but also “kind of not.” Watch below.

Speculation has swirled about Lopez and ex-boyfriend Casper Smart in recent months, with rock-solid sources consistently telling Gossip Cop that the former couple is not officially back together. The superstar now confirmed that herself after getting uncomfortably grilled by DeGeneres about whether she “lied” about being single. Lopez, who is likely exhausted by questions about her love life, first replied, “I don’t even want to get into it with you.”

“Well, you have to,” the comedic talk show host insisted. A frustrated Lopez responded, “No, I don’t. First of all, I don’t lie. I say what my truth is. Whatever anybody else wants to perceive about me hanging out with people or other people or different people, it doesn’t matter. I know the truth.”

Still, DeGeneres asked, “So the truth is now you’re not single?” “I kind of am and I’m kind of not… I am not sure about anything,” admitted the singer. When DeGeneres alluded to some PDA from Lopez and Smart, the “American Idol” judge pointed out that, as a grown woman, she’s just doing whatever she feels like doing. “When I have something really to say that’s permanent, or in a way that’s really important that I feel like I have to say something, I’ll say it!” promised Lopez.

She added, “I’ll say, ‘you know what? This is going down. We are this.’ But right now, I just feel like, I am me.” It’s also worth noting Gossip Cop recently debunked a tabloid claim that Lopez and Smart were planning a “$3 million wedding,” and Smart even retweeted our story.

Aside from her personal life, Lopez also spoke to DeGeneres about this week’s “American Idol” cancellation, telling the former judge, “It’s not over til it’s over.” Check out both videos below.
