Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are not considering “doing [a] reality show together,” despite a report from a certain webloid. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story, which was seemingly fabricated.

According to HollywoodLife, there’s “rumors” the couple “could be working on a TV project.” The site quotes a so-called “insider” as saying in unnaturally expository language, “Jennifer Lopez is totally open to doing a reality show with her new boyfriend Alex Rodriguez.” A real person would’ve simply said, “Jennifer is totally open to doing a reality show with Alex.” That’s a clear indication this alleged source was likely manufactured.

Furthermore, the outlet’s purported tipster goes on to speak only in vague, obvious generalities about how Lopez has already been on “American Idol,” “so doing something unscripted on TV would be no big deal for her.” In another meaningless quote, this supposed snitch tells the outlet Lopez likes doing “new things” and looks for ways to be “closer” with her fans. Anyone could’ve concluded that on one’s own.

HollywoodLies, as it’s known, just wanted to post original content so it would be rewarded by Google with search traffic. But the webloid already demonstrated it doesn’t have access to the singer’s world when it falsely speculated in March that Lopez was engaged to Rodriguez. And because the webloid doesn’t have genuine insight, it resorts to crafting random narratives that sometimes seem plausible, but are more rooted in fiction than fact.

Gossip Cop is told by an actual, non-imaginary source that Lopez and Rodriguez have not discussed doing a reality show together. This story focused on her supposed willingness to do one is simply fake news. And because the site seemingly doesn’t have sources that it didn’t invent, Lopez alleged feelings on the subject were made up. A rep for Lopez further confirms to Gossip Cop the article is “totally false.”
