A new tabloid cover story alleges that Jennifer Lopez is pregnant with Alex Rodriguez's baby boy and the couple plans to get married after she gives birth. Gossip Cop, however, can exclusively debunk this fake news.
The singer and former baseball player - both of whom have two pre-teen kids from previous marriages - have only been dating for a few months, but the latest issue of Life & Style features a cover blaring the headline: "J. Lo & A-Rod: They're Having A Boy!" The inside article goes on to purport that Lopez is expecting a "miracle baby" at 47-years-old and both are ecstatic about raising a child together.
A supposed "insider" tells the magazine that the couple decided to have a baby so soon into their relationship because "they realized that they were a great match and this was for real" and "didn't have much time to waste." The outlet's dubious source further claims that Lopez is in the process of designing a baseball-themed nursery, while the couple is already discussing possible names for their son.
The magazine's seemingly made-up insider also contends that the couple is planning to wed at some point in the near future, but want to wait until their baby is born first. "Their main focus right now is on having a healthy boy," says the alleged source. "They both agree that's priority No. 1, and their wedding can wait... She's super excited about having his son. She's not showing yet, but she can't wait to get a baby bump."
But Gossip Cop looked into the tabloid's story, and we can exclusively reveal the truth. We checked in with a rep for Rodriguez, who laughed off the report about the former Yankee star's girlfriend expecting his child. A rep for Lopez also assures us she's not pregnant and the outlet's story is simply "not true." Of course, Life & Style has proven untrustworthy when it comes to accurately reporting about the couple's relationship, so this latest fabrication isn't surprising.
In March, Gossip Cop busted the publication's phony cover story similarly claiming that Lopez and Rodriguez were planning a wedding and baby. We also recently called out the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Lopez and Rodriguez were moving in together. There was simply no truth to any of these reports, and this latest cover story is equally wrong.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
