Jennifer Lopez's mom, Guadalupe Rodriguez, does not "hate" her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, despite a completely bogus new report. One of the webloids is claiming the singer's mother isn't a fan of the former Yankees star, but Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we've exclusively learned the truth.
"Find A New Man! Jennifer Lopez's Mom Hates Alex Rodriguez," blares a new RadarOnline headline. The accompanying article says Lopez's mom is suspicious of the retired MLB player's intentions with her daughter. A so-called "source" tells the site, "She worries about his motives, although she's pleased to see Jennifer smiling again. Lupe adored Marc [Anthony] and spent years clinging to the hope they'd get back together again some time."
The outlet's dubious insider adds, "She's been introduced to Alex several times, but it's awkward and she walks away each time thinking he doesn't hold a candle to Marc." The seemingly phony source continues, "Jen's not being swayed and has told her mom - as well as her sisters - that Alex is there to stay, so they'd better get used to him."
But Gossip Cop was quick to question the accuracy of the site's story, seeing as Guadalupe has been spotted with her daughter and her boyfriend on several occasions. The three were first photographed looking happy while taking a stroll through New York City earlier this year. And just last month, Lopez and her mom attended the Mets vs. Dodgers game at Shea Stadium to support the singer's boyfriend, who was covering the event for Fox Sports.
Regardless of all the evidence pointing to the webloid's story being untrue, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Lopez, who exclusively assures us the singer's mom gets along well with Rodriguez. We're told the site's take on the situation is simply "not true." Of course, RadarOnline has been publishing bogus reports about the couple's relationship ever since they started dating, so this latest fabrication isn't surprising.
Gossip Cop previously busted the webloid's absurd article alleging Lopez gave Rodriguez a "strict list of rules" to follow in order to date her. Shortly before that nonsense, the unreliable site insisted Lopez and Rodriguez's relationship was fake. This latest story is simply more fiction from the frequently discredited outlet.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
