Drake Jennifer Lopez Song

Jennifer Lopez never said she thinks it’s “hilarious” that Drake is “name-checking” her in a new song, despite a made-up report from a website that frequently pretends to have insider knowledge about celebrities. Gossip Cop is told no one close to the singer told the outlet her reaction to the rapper’s latest track.

Drake references his rumored fling with Lopez in his new song “Diplomatic Immunity,” which features the lyrics, “2010 was when I lost my halo, 2017 I lost a J. Lo.” HollywoodLife is now purporting to have “exclusively” learned how the singer feels about the shout-out. “Jennifer thinks it’s hilarious… and kind of cute in a way,” an alleged source tells the site.

The unreliable blog further quotes its “insider” as saying that Lopez isn’t “concerned” with being mentioned on Drake’s track because he “was just a casual fling and a booty call,” unlike current boyfriend Alex Rodriguez. And although these sentiments may be somewhat true, no one close to the singer gave HollywoodLife such a scoop. Gossip Cop is exclusively assured that no one in Lopez’s circle told the outlet her opinion of Drake’s song.

This also isn’t the first time that the unreliable blog has used the rapper and singer’s past romance as the basis for a phony story. Last year, Gossip Cop busted the site for pretending to know Drake’s reaction to Lopez dating Rodriguez, but we were similarly told that no one in the rapper’s inner circle spoke to the online publication.

It should be noted, the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies has a long history of fabricating stories surrounding Drake and his rumored exes. In the past, the website has pretended to have “exclusive” insight into the rapper’s relationships with Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and other women he’s said to have dated. The site has now decided to concoct a story about Lopez simply because he raps about her in his new song, but it’s nothing more than fan fiction.
