Jennifer Lopez doesn't believe the recent allegations that Alex Rodriguez cheated on her with a former girlfriend, despite a new report claiming the singer angrily confronted her boyfriend over the rumor. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this fake news.
As Gossip Cop reported, fitness model Lauren Hunter, who the former MLB star dated several years ago, told the National Enquirer earlier this month that Rodriguez was cheating on Lopez with her. Hunter's account of events was splashed on the tabloid's cover, but a source close to the former Yankee told Gossip Cop that Hunter's claims are "B.S." Our Rodriguez insider described the situation as "extortion," telling us the model demanded money from him or she'd give the magazine a story alleging an ongoing affair between the two.
The outlet also contended that Rodriguez and Lopez's relationship was "over" as a result of the allegations, but a source close to the singer assured us they're still together. Now, the Enquirer has now published a follow-up story maintaining that Lopez "attacked" her boyfriend in an "epic confrontation" after the magazine hit newsstands. A supposed "source" tells the outlet that the former baseball player "kept mumbling and denied" the affair during this supposed argument, but his girlfriend didn't believe him.
The publication's questionable insider adds, "Jennifer turned a blind eye when P. Diddy and Ben Affleck cheated on her. But she finally appears to have mustered enough spine to confront A-Rod." The dubious source continues, "Of course, he's desperately trying to lie his way out of this. But she won't stand for it... and Jennifer sent him packing." Gossip Cop, however, is assured by a trustworthy insider that the couple is "not affected at all" by the bogus cheating rumors. We're further told Lopez never lashed out at her boyfriend over the Enquirer's report, nor does she believe it to be true.
In fact, the publication's follow-up story contradicts a recent article published by its sister outlet, RadarOnline. The site acknowledged that Lopez didn't believe the cheating rumors, but then insisted she was in "denial" about the situation. Gossip Cop later busted the webloid for wrongly saying Lopez was "turning a blind eye" to her boyfriend's alleged affair. Peculiarly, the Enquirer is now telling a different tale than its sister outlet, but it's no more accurate.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
