One of the tabloids claims Jennifer Lopez is demanding a fortune for photos of her wedding to Alex Rodriguez. The story is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

An article in the latest issue of the National Enquirer quotes a supposed source as saying, “Jennifer is a businesswoman and this wedding is going to be American royalty. If you think she’ll give that wedding dress picture away for free on social media, you’re nuts.” The alleged insider adds, “Expect a huge security presence at the wedding and a total social media blackout. No pictures will be released until she’s approved them.”

The primary issue with the tabloid’s phony story is that Lopez and Rodriguez haven’t begun planning their wedding yet. In fact, they don’t know when it’s happening. Last month, the singer said in an interview with KTU that she doesn’t have a wedding date in mind, adding, “We just got engaged, and then right afterward we started working right away and we’re working the rest of the year.” Lopez went on to say she and her fiancé “haven’t decided if we’re going to squeeze it in [this year] or we’re going to wait.”

Simply put, Lopez isn’t demanding a fortune for photos from a wedding that isn’t in the planning stages and doesn’t have a date yet. The tabloid’s story is both fictional and poorly-researched. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the singer, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but confirms the magazine’s article is entirely made-up. Our insider notes that Lopez is currently busy shooting the movie Hustlers, which will be followed by her summer concert tour. After the tour, she starts filming the movie Marry Me, a comedy co-starring Owen Wilson. It would appear Lopez will be getting married on screen before doing it in real life.

It’s worth noting, the Enquirer isn’t very consistent when it comes to its fake stories about the couple. Just a few weeks ago, Gossip Cop busted the publication for falsely claiming Lopez was having second thoughts about marrying Rodriguez. Also last month, we called out the magazine for wrongly reporting that Lopez was “dumping” Rodriguez over unfounded cheating allegations. This latest article makes no mention of any of this supposed drama, and that’s because none of it ever occurred.

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop busted the outlet last November for making up a story about Lopez and Rodriguez being secretly engaged and in a “trial marriage.” The singer and the former baseball star didn’t get engaged until several months after we debunked the report. The untrustworthy magazine is all over the place when it comes to reporting about the couple. The reason for the disparity between the tabloid’s stories is that they’re fabricated.
