Is there “trouble in paradise” for Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids, but Gossip Cop can report it’s 100 percent untrue. In fact, we’re told “everything’s going great” for the celebrity couple.

In a new article titled, “J. Lo & A-Rod: Trouble In Paradise,” Star alleges Rodriguez and Lopez are having big-time “spats.” According to the supermarket tabloid, “Lopez sparked engagement rumors after sporting a diamond in March,” but now she’s having “second thoughts about marrying Alex.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “They’ve had little spats here and there, but nothing compared to this.” And the purported reason for their fighting, maintains the magazine’s supposed insider, is that “every time Jennifer tries to set a date [to wed], Alex starts sweating under the collar and dragging his feet.”

But unlike when Rodriguez was with the Yankees, the tabloid seems to be just wildly swinging at anything when it comes to the baseball slugger and Lopez. The magazine’s latest claims are simply off-base, as have been a slew of its other previously published articles. For starters, while lesser outlets reported in March that Lopez was engaged when she sported a diamond ring, Gossip Cop rightfully pointed out it was actually a piece of jewelry she’s been wearing for years, including to the 2014 Fox All-Star Party in Pasadena, California.

The reality is Lopez and Rodriguez are not fighting over whether they’ll get married. And the former baseball player isn’t “dragging his feet.” Gossip Cop literally has some of the best and closest Lopez and Rodriguez sources and one particular insider assures us “everything’s going great” between them.

To say Star has often struck out with its tall tales about Lopez and Rodriguez would be kind. Just a week ago, for example, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid when it printed an absurd story that contended Rodriguez was jealous because of some of the scenes Milo Ventimiglia was shooting with Lopez for their romantic comedy Second Act. For the record, Ventimiglia has a girlfriend.

The magazine also whiffed last month when it falsely asserted Lopez wanted to take a break from Rodriguez. And before that, Gossip Cop corrected the tabloid after it wrongly reported Lopez’s kids dislike Rodriguez. It’s actually quite the opposite. The two families have melded so well that Rodriguez’s Instagram is often filled with photos of him, Lopez and their kids having fun. And far from there being “trouble in paradise,” Lopez and Rodriguez just spent Thanksgiving together and remain happily in love.
