Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez aren't going through any "tension" that might prevent them from making it down the aisle, despite an inaccurate report. Gossip Cop can correct the story. We're told it's simply untrue.
Fox News posted an article on its website claiming the engaged couple has been arguing a lot as of late, "especially when their personalities clash." A source tells the outlet there's a downside to all of the "passion" in Lopez and Rodriguez's relationship, as it often results in fighting.
A recent point of contention, according to the news outlet, came when Rodriguez spoke in an interview last week about sitting next to Kylie Jenner at the Met Gala, and joked that she spent the whole time "talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is." Jenner later took to Twitter to refute the claim, writing, "Umm no i didn't. We only spoke about Game of Thrones."
The former MLB star acknowledged he wasn't being truthful, tweeting in response, "OMG that's right @KylieJenner!! It was me talking about you and your makeup line and how much my girls love you. #GOT #respect #alllove." Fox News says the headline-making incident resulted in Lopez getting "incredibly upset."
The outlet quotes an "insider" as saying, "She expected him to know better. J.Lo basically told him that she doesn't care what he says during his interviews as long as it doesn't encroach on their family or her personal and professional relationships." The source further contends that Lopez felt her fiance "crossed the line" with his barb about Jenner.
The outlet's story simply isn't accurate. Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual pal of ours and Rodriguez, who says all rumors of "tension" between him and Lopez are "completely false." Our trusted source further notes that the two "are better than ever." The strength of the couple's relationship is evident on their respective Instagram pages, which include countless photos and videos of the two looking very much in love.
Last week, Lopez shared a video of her and Rodriguez hitting the gym, referring to her fiance as her "fave workout partner." The singer posted the footage just one day after the incident involving Jenner. It seems highly unlikely she was furious with Rodriguez at the same time.
It's worth noting a number of other outlets simply picked up the false claim of trouble between Lopez and Rodriguez without bothering to fact-check it. Conversely, Gossip Cop investigated it pretty throughly, and we can confirm there are no issues between the couple. Bottom line: They are still headed down the aisle.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
