One of the tabloids claims Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's relationship is being "rocked by jealousy." There's no truth to the story. Gossip Cop can correct it.
According to the Globe, the newly engaged couple's romance is being torn apart by "buzz that he's a cheater" and the singer's "racy new stripper role" in the upcoming movie Hustlers. In March, Playboy model Zoe Gregory told the British tabloid the Sun that the former Yankee propositioned her over texts in the weeks leading up to him proposing to Lopez. The model, however, provided zero evidence to back up her claims.
A supposed source tells the magazine that Lopez is having a difficult time dealing with the allegations, but there's jealousy on Rodriguez's end as well. The singer just wrapped shooting the drama Hustlers, in which she plays a stripper who turns the tables on her wealthy Wall Street clients. "After seeing her pole dancing and the kinds of outfits she'll be wearing, he's freaking out over all the men who will be leering at his woman," says the alleged insider.
The seemingly phony tipster further contends that Rodriguez "wants the world to know that she's his and no one else's," so he's having trouble accepting her decision to play a stripper in Hustlers. The so-called "insider" concludes, "With so much drama, you've got to wonder if these two have any hope of making it last."
The magazine's premise is totally bogus. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the Globe's sister outlet, the National Enquirer, for falsely claiming Lopez was dumping Rodriguez over Gregory's cheating allegations. An individual in the singer's camp assured us she wasn't paying any attention to the unsubstantiated claims. Of course, the singer and the former MLB star remain happily engaged.
Meanwhile, Lopez said in an interview on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM show in December that Rodriguez has no issue with her love scenes. The singer further noted that she's "very professional" when it comes to shooting racy scenes. She added, "If I take on [a role]... I'm going to do it in a way that if [Rodriguez] saw it or anybody saw it that knew me, that I would never feel, God, I wish I didn't do that."
Additionally, Lopez and Rodriguez attended the Met Gala together last week, and both shared a ton of photos and videos from the event on their social media accounts. An Instagram video shared by Rodriguez shows him kissing his fiancee inside the venue while dancing. And on Wednesday, Rodriguez posted an Instagram video of himself watching a rehearsal for Lopez's It's My Party concert tour. It's clear the happy couple's relationship hasn't been "rocked" by imaginary drama.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
