A tabloid story about Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez planning the “most expensive wedding ever” is completely made-up. The article is filled with supposed details about the couple’s upcoming nuptials, but the report is fabricated. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

According to Life & Style, the singer and Rodriguez are in the process of putting together the most over-the-top wedding “in Hollywood history.” An alleged insider tells the magazine the couple is prepared to spend up to $15 million on the nuptials, adding, “It’s going to be one lavish affair! They’re thinking of having a destination wedding, maybe in the Bahamas, where they got engaged.”

From there, the outlet pretends to know the details of what Lopez is going to wear at the ceremony, as well as what’s going to be on the menu. “J. Lo has ordered a custom Versace gown,” says the supposed source, who further contends the wedding cake will cost “$50,000.” As for the supposed guest list, celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres and all of Lopez’s “World of Dance” co-stars will be scoring invites. “Jen’s said this is her last marriage, and since they have the money, she’s not making any apologies,” adds the questionable tipster. “J. Lo and A-Rod want to tie the knot in grand style.”

Although it’s not unreasonable to believe Lopez and Rodriguez will have a big bash to celebrate their nuptials, the tabloid’s report is completely fabricated. Just last week, Lopez said in an interview with KTU that she and Rodriguez haven’t started planning their wedding yet. “We just got engaged, and then right afterward we started working right away and we’re working the rest of the year,” explained the singer, who went on to say she and her fiancé “haven’t decided if we’re going to squeeze it in [this year] or we’re going to wait.”

When it comes to when and where her big day will take place, Lopez further stressed, “I really don’t know yet.” Considering the singer herself doesn’t know what her wedding plans entail, it’s safe to say Life & Style has no clue. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Lopez, who confirms the magazine’s report is entirely made-up. Should any of the details mentioned above end up panning out, it will be a lucky guess on the part of the tabloid.

Additionally, the outlet has already demonstrated its has zero insight into the couple’s relationship. Last year, Gossip Cop busted the publication for wrongly reporting that Lopez and Rodriguez were expecting twins. She wasn’t pregnant with one child, let alone two.

This also isn’t the first time the publication has purported to know the couple’s wedding plans. Back in November 2017, we called out the magazine for falsely claiming Lopez and Rodriguez would be married by spring 2018. They didn’t get engaged until last month. When it comes to their romance, the tabloid seems to prefer creating fiction than doing actual reporting.
