Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are not planning a summer wedding, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. We've learned the engaged couple won't be walking down the aisle in the coming months.
According to Life & Style, however, Lopez and the former MLB star are organizing their nuptials, and will include their kids in the celebration. A supposed source tells the magazine that Lopez's twins, Max and Emma, 11, and Rodriguez's daughters, Natasha, 14, and Ella, 11, "will all be a part of the ceremony. The theme is about blending families."
The alleged insider further contends Lopez's wedding dress will be a "formfitting Versace original that she's helping design." Some of the celebrity guests who will be in attendance are said to include Lady Gaga, Joanna Gaines, and the Kardashians. "There will be latin music, great food... and, of course, lots and lots of dancing," adds the suspicious tipster.
The unreliable outlet claims to know a lot about the couple's nuptials, but glaringly doesn't mention where they're taking place. One would think the location would be an important detail to include, if any of this were true. Also, "summer" is a fairly vague timeframe, so the tabloid doesn't seem to know when the ceremony is happening either.
Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Lopez, who wasn't able to speak on the record, but tells us the magazine's report is fabricated. Our trustworthy insider notes the singer will be on the road all summer for her It's My Party concert tour. Also, during an interview on KTU last month, Lopez revealed she and Rodriguez haven't started planning their wedding yet.
"We just got engaged, and then right afterward we started working right away and we're working the rest of the year," the singer said when asked if she had a wedding date in mind. Lopez went on to say she and her fiance "haven't decided if we're going to squeeze it in [this year] or we're going to wait." Should the couple walk down the aisle in 2019, it won't be until the end of the year, at the earliest.
This isn't the first time Life & Style has pretended to have insight into the couple's nuptials. Just last month, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for making up a story about Lopez and Rodriguez planning the "most expensive wedding ever." That article said the couple was thinking about a destination wedding in the Bahamas. As noted above, wedding planning simply isn't on their agenda yet.
For further proof that the magazine makes up stories about the couple, Gossip Cop would like to point to a 2018 article about Lopez and Rodriguez expecting twins. As time has proven, the singer wasn't pregnant with one child last year, let alone two. The latest report about a "summer wedding" is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
