Jennifer Lopez isn't postponing her wedding plans with Alex Rodriguez, despite a false tabloid report claiming the singer is getting cold feet. There's no truth to the story. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

An article in the latest issue of Life & Style says Lopez has "come down with a bad case of pre-wedding jitters," which is the reason why the couple has yet to set a date for their upcoming nuptials. The tabloid quotes a so-called "insider" as saying, "Every bride-to be has doubts, but it's worse with J. Lo. This will be her fourth wedding - and if it doesn't work out, it will be humiliating."

The alleged insider goes on to say Lopez's "biggest fear is that as soon as they are announced as husband and wife, everything will change," so she "needs to make sure she and A-Rod are both on the same page" before they tie the knot. The tabloid further asserts that Lopez's supposed fear of walking down the aisle has "caused tension" between her and Rodriguez. "She wants to be assured of his undying love, because she's giving him hers," adds the seemingly phony source.

Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual pal of ours and Lopez, who assures us the story is a fabrication. A quick glance through Rodriguez's social media accounts is all you need to know about how much he loves Lopez. Rarely more than a couple of days go by without the former Yankee posting a photo of the two doing something romantic together, including traveling around the South of France this week.

Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March 2019 and are planning a wedding sometime next year. That's a perfectly reasonable amount of time to stay engaged, and the reason they're not getting married sooner has nothing to do with pre-wedding jitters. Both stars are having very busy years, with Rodriguez covering his baseball announcer duties through October and Lopez performing a concert tour and shooting film projects.

In an interview in May with Entertainment Tonight, Lopez talked about the timing of the wedding, saying, "There's no rush. We really see this as something that's gonna be forever, and we're gonna just take our time and do it right." The singer hasn't postponed a wedding that wasn't imminent in the first place.

Back in May, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style for wrongly reporting that Lopez and Rodriguez were planning a summer wedding. One month before that, the magazine made up a different story about Lopez and Rodriguez having the "most expensive wedding ever" in the Bahamas. It's now September and the two haven't gotten married.

Instead of acknowledging that it knows nothing about the couple's marriage plans, the tabloid has come up with this phony premise about the singer "postponing" her ceremony. Lopez and Rodriguez will become husband and wife sometime in 2020. Nothing has been pushed back.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
