One of this week’s tabloids claims Jennifer Lopez is dumping Alex Rodriguez over new cheating allegations made against him by former Playboy Playmate Zoe Gregory. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
Last month, Gregory told the British tabloid the Sun that weeks before Rodriguez proposed to his fiancee, he propositioned her for a hookup via text message. She further alleged that the former MLB star asked her for “naughty videos.”
The model didn’t provide any proof to back up her accusations, but according to the National Enquirer, Lopez is ending her engagement over the situation. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “There’s only so much betrayal Jennifer can take. It’ll be a miracle if they get married after this.”
The tabloid’s report is poorly-timed and provably false. On Tuesday, Lopez shared an Instagram photo of her and Rodriguez kissing on the field of the Philadelphia Phillies stadium. Over the weekend, Lopez and Rodriguez attended a Yankees game along with all of their kids. The happy couple isn’t paying attention to the unfounded cheating allegations, which haven’t been corroborated by a shred of evidence.
Despite it being clear that Lopez hasn’t ended her engagement, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the singer, who confirms there’s “no truth” to the magazine’s report. This isn’t the first time the outlet has attempted to break up the happy couple. Last week, we busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Lopez’s friends were urging her to dump Rodriguez based on his reputation as “serial cheater.”
The bogus story emerged following cheating allegations made against Rodriguez by his former baseball rival Jose Canseco, who claimed on Twitter that the former Yankee was having an affair with his ex-wife, Jessica Canseco. Jessica herself dismissed the tweets as “false accusations” and explained that she hasn’t seen Rodriguez in years. A mutual pal of ours and Lopez assured us she had “paid no mind” to the unsubstantiated claim.
It’s worth noting, the publication has already proven to have zero insight into the couple’s relationship. Last November, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for wrongly reporting that Lopez and Rodriguez were already secretly engaged and in a “trial marriage.” The ex-Yankee didn’t propose until several months later.
Last October, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Rodriguez felt “trapped” by Lopez and wanted to date other women. Considering he plans on walking down the aisle with the singer, it’s clear the story was baseless. This latest one is no more accurate.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
