One of this week's tabloids claims Jennifer Lopez is "devastated" by new allegations that Alex Rodriguez cheated on her with British Playboy model Zoe Gregory. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can correct it.
Last month, Gregory told the British tabloid the Sun that Rodriguez propositioned her over texts in the weeks leading up to him proposing to Lopez. The Playboy playmate, who provided zero evidence to back up her claim, further alleged that the former MLB star had asked her to send him "naughty videos."
According to Star, the singer "feels stabbed in the back" over the situation. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Jen loves Alex, but now she's having serious doubts about marrying him. The biggest cut for Jen is that this supposedly happened right before Alex proposed."
The supposed source goes on to say that Rodriguez "swears he's been faithful, but now she's second-guessing every little thing." The questionable tipster concludes, "For Jen, the reality is sinking in that there may not be a happily ever after with Alex. She's telling friends that she'll hire a P.I. to find out the truth. Once Jen has the facts, she'll make her next move."
None of this is remotely factual. For starters, a source close to the singer assures Gossip Cop she hasn't paid any attention to Gregory's unsubstantiated claims. Meanwhile, Lopez opened up about her engagement to Rodriguez during a SiriusXM interview earlier this week. "I couldn't be happier," she said. "It's great to have a best friend and a partner that you can really build with, and I just feel like with Alex and I, that's what it's like."
Additionally, the singer frequently shares photos on social media indicating that her relationship is going strong. Earlier this week, Lopez posted an Instagram photo of her and Rodriguez kissing on the field of the Philadelphia Phillies stadium. And last weekend, Lopez and Rodriguez attended a Yankees game along with their respective kids. Gregory's uncorroborated allegations haven't impacted their engagement in any way.
Star is the same tabloid that Gossip Cop busted in March 2018 for falsely claiming Rodriguez proposed to Lopez with the help of his two daughters and her twins. The couple didn't get engaged until almost a full year later, and none of their children were involved in the proposal.
In January 2018, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Lopez and Rodriguez were expecting a baby. They weren't. It's clear at this point that the unreliable outlet simply makes up stories about the couple. This latest article involving baseless cheating allegations is another example.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
