Jennifer Lopez did not “angrily confront” Alex Rodriguez over the recent cheating allegations made against him, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story. We’ve learned there’s no truth to it.
Shortly after Lopez and Rodriguez announced their engagement earlier this month, ex-MLB player Jose Canseco accused the former Yankee of being unfaithful. Canseco alleged on Twitter that Rodriguez has been cheating on Lopez with his ex-wife, Jessica Canseco. Jessica immediately dismissed the claims as “false accusations” and noted that she hasn’t seen Rodriguez in several years.
According to Life & Style, Lopez is both “furious” and “humiliated” by Canseco’s cheating allegations. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “It didn’t take long for all of J. Lo’s dreams of becoming Mrs. Rodriguez to turn into a nightmare. This has pretty much been an engagement from hell.”
The supposed source further contends that Lopez “angrily confronted A-Rod about whether there was any truth to the tweets. He immediately became defensive and shot down Jose’s allegations, accusing him of being a total liar.” The suspicious tipster goes on to say the singer will “make sure she gets to the bottom of this latest scandal before walking down the aisle,” and won’t hesitate to call off the engagement “if she were ever to get solid evidence that A-Rod was cheating.”
None of this is remotely true. Lopez herself told People magazine this week that she and her fiance are “really happy” together. The singer added, “We have [an] appreciation for where we are in our lives today, and that’s what we’re enjoying the most.” In a subsequent interview, Rodriguez said he and Lopez are “very grateful,” while his fiancee added, “We’re constantly supporting each other.”
In addition to Lopez herself confirming she’s happily engaged, Gossip Cop is told by a source close to the singer that she found Canseco’s claims to be “untrue/crazy and paid them no mind.” We’re assured the singer never confronted Rodriguez over unfounded allegations from his former baseball rival, with whom he has a contentious history.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Life & Style has attempted to create nonexistent drama between the happy couple. A few months ago, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for making up a story about Rodriguez being jealous of Lopez’s love scenes in her latest movie Second Act. However, the singer herself said in a SiriusXM interview that the former Yankee isn’t bothered by her fake on-screen romances.
For further proof that the magazine makes up stories, look no further than its April 2018 report about Lopez and Rodriguez expecting twins. That clearly wasn’t the case. This latest article is more fiction from the unreliable outlet.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
