Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are not adopting a baby from Puerto Rico, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct the phony story. It's simply not true.
Lopez and Rodriguez each have two kids of their own, but according to NW, they're eager to have one together. A supposed source tells the outlet, "Jen wants them to have a child of their own and doesn't like leaving things to chance. She's aware that at her age it could take years of IVF. She feels like they're in a position to help a child in need and wants to adopt from Puerto Rico, where she has family."
The alleged insider goes on to say that Rodriguez is on board and "wants a baby of their own to help bring the two families together," giving his two daughters and Lopez's twins "another reason to bond." Only, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the singer, who wasn't able to speak on the record, but assures us the magazine's report is made-up. The couple simply isn't planning to adopt a baby together.
It's worth noting, Lopez said in an interview with KTU earlier this month that she and Rodriguez haven't started planning their wedding yet because they don't have the time. "We're working the rest of the year," she explained. The singer will be on the road all summer for her It's My Party concert tour, so the idea that she's also in the process of adopting a baby isn't logical. It's highly unlikely Lopez plans to care for a newborn while simultaneously traveling the globe and performing on stage.
Additionally, NW has already proven to have zero insight into the couple's relationship. In January, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Lopez was dumping Rodriguez for her ex-fiance Ben Affleck. Shortly after we debunked that ridiculous story, she and the former MLB star got engaged. Back in November, we shot down the outlet's report about Lopez and Rodriguez scouting wedding venues. The couple wasn't engaged at that point, and they're still not in the wedding-planning stage.
Around this time last year, Gossip Cop called out the publication for wrongly reporting that Lopez and Rodriguez were secretly engaged and planning a Fourth of July wedding. That clearly never panned out either. The untrustworthy magazine simply prints fiction about the famous couple, and this latest article is no exception.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
