Jennifer Lawrence’s upcoming wedding to art gallery director Cooke Maroney has sparked plenty of false rumors. Since the actress’s engagement was made public in February, several tabloids have published stories claiming everything from pre-wedding nose jobs to family infighting. Here a few wrong reports that Gossip Cop has debunked.

In February, Gossip Cop disproved an OK! story that contended Lawrence was planning to get married this summer in Kentucky, the actress’s home state. The report also asserted the nuptials would be very small, and the only other celebrity present would be Emma Stone, who was slated to make a speech. The outlet’s “source” maintained Lawrence was ready to take a break from acting and focus on starting a family with her husband-to-be.

The article even alleged there was a possibility Lawrence was already pregnant. Of course, none of it was true. At the time, an individual in the actress’s camp assured us she was not expecting nor tying the knot in Kentucky this summer.

Last month, Gossip Cop busted a Life & Style tale about Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson feuding over their respective weddings to Maroney and “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost. An insider claimed Johansson found Lawrence to be “phony” and disliked her “over the top” personality. Additionally, both actresses were said to be looking at the same wedding venue and were desperate to outshine the other.

Johansson’s spokesperson, however, told us on the record there was “no truth” to the article. The rep noted everything was inaccurate, “from the supposed feud, to looking at the same venue, to this fabricated competition.” “There has never been and is no ‘feud’ between the ladies, just mutual respect,” added the spokesperson.

Also in June, Gossip Cop nailed both the National Enquirer and its sister site RadarOnline for their bogus pieces about Lawrence having undergone plastic surgery in advance of her wedding. The reports cited plastic surgeons who, despite having never treated Lawrence, insisted she had her eyelids and cheekbones reshaped, as well as fillers injected into her lips and possibly a nose job. Those assumptions were based on nothing but photographs of Lawrence that the outlets had specifically chosen and asked the surgeons to comment on.  The speculation, however, was not based on any concrete evidence and was ultimately baseless.

And earlier this month, Gossip Cop corrected an NW article about Lawrence banning her parents from her upcoming wedding. The story alleged Lawrence’s mother, Karen, bad-mouthed Maroney in front of her, causing the actress to disinvite both of her parents from the ceremony. Glaringly, the tabloid’s purported source didn’t mention what Karen had said or why her father was also going to be barred. In reality, Lawrence’s mom never spoke negatively about her fiancé, nor has she been banned from the actress’s nuptials.
