Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky are not planning a wedding, despite a report from the tabloids. Although the couple is happily still together, they have no intention of "heading down the aisle" and marrying. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk these allegations.

Life & Style is falsely announcing, "A Wedding For J.Law!" According to the erroneous article, "The nuptials could happen as soon as this winter." Claims a so-called "insider," "Jennifer and Darren want to be married by the new year. They have a really strong connection. She's always said she'll know when the right guy comes along, and Darren is that guy." Of the couple supposedly "rushing to put together a winter wedding in NYC," a purported "source" also alleges to the tabloid, "They can't wait to tie the knot. They're just crazy about each other."

"They're totally on the same page. Neither of them wants some over-the-top thing. It will be intimate and classy, with special friends, family and some celebrity guests," the "insider" contends to the gossip magazine, which maintains Bradley Cooper and Amy Schumer will be among the invitees, with Lawrence also supposedly hoping none other than Adele will perform. The outlet further asserts the affair may take place at the Peninsula Hotel, with Lawrence donning a Dior gown to "match the stately setting."

The "source" contends, "She wants to wear a custom-made Dior wedding dress, similar to the gown she wore to the Academy Awards in 2013. Jen has joked to pals that she'll be extra careful not to fall down the aisle!" That, of course, is a reference to Lawrence infamously tripping as she went on stage to accept her Oscar. But it's the publication that tripped up here. While Life & Style alleges the actress is "so excited about a wedding," Gossip Cop has learned there isn't one in the works.

It's "totally false," Aronofsky's rep exclusively told Gossip Cop when we investigated this story. Notably, these claims aren't even original. Nearly a year ago, we busted this very same tabloid for wrongy claiming Lawrence and Aronofsky were talking about having a wedding and a baby. It wasn't true then, and it remains untrue now.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
