A new report claiming Jennifer Lawrence introduced Joel Edgerton to her family amid their alleged "romance" is completely untrue. As Gossip Cop has already reported, the Red Sparrow co-stars aren't dating. This latest take on the phony narrative is more lies.
Last month, Gossip Cop debunked false rumors about Lawrence and Edgerton being a new couple after they posed together on the red carpet at the premiere of their movie. The actress later confirmed during an appearance on "The Howard Stern Show" that she's not involved with her co-star. Unfortunately, that hasn't stopped Woman's Day from publishing a bogus follow-up story about Edgerton meeting Lawrence's family.
An alleged insider first tells the magazine that the co-stars "snuck out" of the New York City premiere of Red Sparrow last month, "and Jennifer's car took them back to his hotel suite," despite the actress staying at a different hotel. "Jen's completely smitten by Joel," adds the questionable source. "They've been all over each other after months of flirting."
According to the supposed tipster, Lawrence also brought Edgerton along when she went out to dinner with her parents and her brother during the New York trip. "She gushed to friends the next day they all liked Joel as much as she does," adds the suspicious source. "They have a huge amount of chemistry and Joel is just as hooked as she is, so it could definitely be the start of a great romance."
Here's what's true about the tabloid's story: Lawrence and Edgerton posed on the red carpet at the Red Sparrow premiere. Here's what's false: Everything else. Gossip Cop is assured by a source close to the situation, who wasn't authorized to speak on the record, that the co-stars aren't dating, nor did he dine with her family. The outlet is simply jumping on the opportunity to link the currently-single actress to her latest leading man.
Additionally, Woman's Day has proven to know very little about the actress's personal life. This latest article claims Lawrence and Edgerton have been getting close for months, but just a few weeks ago, the magazine said Lawrence was "lonely" and wanted to get back together with Darren Aronofsky. The untrustworthy publication, which decided to switch course after she was spotted at an event with Edgerton, is printing more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
