Are Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone really helping Adele make it big in Hollywood, as a tabloid claims? Gossip Cop has investigated the story and we can bust it. It’s totally fabricated.
An item in Life & Style says the Oscar-winning singer has enlisted the two Oscar-winning actresses to help her break into movies. The tabloid quotes a supposed friend of the singer as saying, “Adele has always envisioned herself up on the big screen. She loves making music videos – mini movies she calls them – and now that she is single, she wants to focus on her dreams.” The friend makes no mention of what Adele being single has to do with acting. The Skyfall singer broke up with her husband Simon Konecki in April.
The so-called “friend” goes on to say, “J-Law and Emma have both told Adele that she’s got what it takes to make in Hollywood. She’s a natural in front of the camera and would do well in serious dramas as well as romantic comedies.” The eye-rolling comments are almost too silly to address. This is just an example of a tabloid inventing a story involving three big name celebrities who happen to be friends and creating a bogus narrative around them.
There is nothing to indicate Adele aspires to be an actress. She has been working on her next album for the better part of the last year, and although there’s no official release date, some are reporting that it’s expected to drop sometime before Christmas. It seems highly likely that the singer will then embark on a world tour in support of her album, and that will likely fill up the next couple of years in her schedule.
In fact, it’s been rumored in the past that Adele was moving towards acting, but she never has. There’s no reason to think she is now, nor that she would need “help” from Lawrence or Stone to land a film role. After all, she’s still one of the biggest stars in the world, despite not being known for acting. Still, Gossip Cop ran the tabloid’s story by sources close to the situation, and we’re told it’s all made-up.
Life & Style likes to make up phony stories connecting Lawrence and other celebrities for no clear reason other than to sell papers. In June, the tabloid ran a ridiculous report about Lawrence feuding with Scarlett Johansson over their weddings. While Johansson hasn’t married yet, Lawrence wasn’t trying to outshine anyone when she married her husband Cooke Maroney in a low-key affair that happened with almost no publicity in advance.
Interestingly, Life & Style’s sister publication, Star, has actually connected Lawrence and Stone in an untrue article before. In July 2018, the tabloid alleged Lawrence was trying to convince Stone to dump Justin Theroux. The major problem there was that Stone and Theroux have never dated. The passage of time never bodes well for phony tabloid stories, but it works out just fine for Gossip Cop.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
