Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky’s relationship is not “over,” despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct the claim that their romance is “already cooling down.” We’re told it’s untrue.

According to RadarOnline, Aronofsky and Lawrence are “taking a break from their intense romance” after the actress made a “raunchy joke that turned the director off.” The site quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “It’s not been anywhere near the serious relationship it’s being made out to be.” “He finds her a little immature and was pretty horrified by her ‘wet sponge’ private parts comment to Vanity Fair,” adds the “insider.”

Lawrence was talking about irrational fears to the magazine when she jokingly referenced a Kurt Vonnegut short story, which she explained was about people having to take “pills that make your private parts feel like wet sponges and… no one can procreate.” Still, the outlet’s supposed “insider” alleges Aronofsky was turned off by his girlfriend’s “crass comments” because the director has “a 10-year-old son to think about.”

Nowhere, of course, does the webloid have any proof or even quotes about Aronofsky and Lawrence being “over,” “taking a break,” or “cooling down.” That’s because the outlet seemingly manufactured the entire article. Gossip Cop looked into the claim that the couple is “over,” and a source close to the situation assure us it’s not true. Our impeccable informant said the site’s story is “so dumb.”

Gossip Cop had a gut feeling even before fact-checking with sources that the RadarOnline story was nothing more than fake news. In the past, we busted the webloid for a made-up claim about Lawrence and Kristen Stewart being in a feud. And Gossip Cop has also called out the site for wrongly alleging Lawrence was jealous of a past Bradley Cooper girlfriend. Perhaps it’s time for the outlet to find an actual Lawrence “insider.”
