One of this week's tabloids claims Jennifer Garner is getting married to her new boyfriend, Cali Group CEO John Miller, just weeks after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

"Jennifer Garner: Rushing Down The Aisle," reads a headline in the latest issue of Star. The accompanying article says the actress "plans to secretly tie the knot" with her boyfriend after just six months of dating. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "They're talking marriage, and they've met each other's kids, and their ex-spouses seem to approve." The supposed source goes on to say that although Affleck "says he's happy for Jen," his attitude may change "once he sees the ring on her finger."

From there, the unreliable outlet claims Garner and Miller have already chosen their wedding venue and "top-secret honeymoon locations." The questionable tipster says, "Jen and John want to get married around the holidays at her mountain retreat in Big Sky, Montana. It was where they had their first romantic getaway. The ceremony will be small, with just family and a couple of close friends."

The suspicious source further contends that the actress and businessman are planning two honeymoons, one with their children and one for just the two of them. "They want to include their combined kids in their plans," adds the seemingly phony source. "One idea they have is to go to Disney World and let loose and have fun."

The magazine's story is a total fabrication. People magazine, a much more reliable celebrity news outlet than Star, recently reported that Garner and Miller are "casually dating but it's not serious" and "he hasn't met her kids." E! News similarly reported that Garner and Miller are just "causally seeing each other."

Additionally, the tabloid's report is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable "friend" of the actress, but Gossip Cop checked in with Garner's rep, who tells us on the record that it's "clearly made-up." The actress has no intention of "rushing down the aisle" with her new boyfriend. This article seems to have been manufactured simply because Garner and Affleck finalized their divorce earlier this month.

In fact, Star's sister outlet, the National Enquirer, recently took the situation one step further. Gossip Cop busted the outlet earlier this week for alleging that the real reason Garner finalized her divorce is because she's pregnant with Miller's baby. At least this latest article is slightly less absurd, but it's equally untrue.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
