Is Jennifer Garner really asking Ben Affleck for tips in the bedroom so she can keep her new boyfriend satisfied? That's the ridiculous claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony story.
A headline in the latest issue of the National Enquirer reads, "Jen Begs Ben For Sex Tips!" The accompanying article says the actress "wants to wow" Cali Group CEO John Miler, who she started dating a few months ago, "so she's asked Ben where she can improve between the sheets."
An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Jen feels like she's done plenty for Ben - so this is the least he can do for her. Her friends think that's super weird, but Jen says it's totally fine." The supposed source adds, "She and Ben are happier as friends - and she didn't think twice about asking him."
The magazine's story is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Garner, who wasn't authorized to go on the record, but assures us the tabloid's story is simply "not true." The actress hasn't been asking her ex-husband for advice on her love life, either in or out of the bedroom.
It's worth noting, the Enquirer seems to have trouble keeping track of its false narratives. Just last month, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Garner was pregnant with Miller's baby, and it's the reason she recently finalized her divorce from Affleck. There was no truth to the story, and this latest article makes no mention of the actress expecting a child with her new boyfriend.
The outlet has also proven to have very little insight into the actress's love life. Gossip Cop called out the magazine in March for falsely claiming that Garner was dating a mystery lawyer. The actress was single at the time and no such mystery boyfriend ever existed.
Gossip Cop has also busted the tabloid for publishing several stories about Garner being in a romance with Love, Simon co-star Josh Duhamel. The co-stars later laughed off the dating rumors while promoting the movie together. And last year, we debunked the magazine's bogus article about Garner dating a bodyguard who looked like Affleck.
The tabloid's many stories about the ex-spouses have more in common with fan fiction than they do with journalism. This latest article about the actor giving his ex-wife tips in the bedroom is another example.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
